Hellen Akello

Managing Director

Hellen Akello is currently the Managing Director and founder of The Talent Factory which is a boutique consulting firm specializing in Corporate Culture. Previously she was the Director of Talent & Organizational Development at Chase Bank (Kenya) Limited. She has also served as the General Manager of Human Resources at K-Rep Bank Limited.

Hellen’s strength and responsibility while at Chase Bank was to provide strategic leadership and ensure strategic alignment of the Talent & OD function with the Bank’s strategy. Ms. Akello has a wealth of experience in Talent & Organizational Development spanning across the service industry and manufacturing.

She has diverse experience that cuts across aligning culture to business strategy, leadership training, talent development, performance management and competence based reward system, staff welfare, formulation and implementation of human resources policies. Prior to joining K-Rep bank, Ms. Akello worked with Industrial Promotions Services East Africa, before which she worked with J.A.R Kenya and Nalin Group of companies.

Ms. Akello holds a BA degree in Sociology from university of Nairobi and a Master in Business Administration with Human Resource specialization from Moi and is currently pursuing an MSc. Business and Organization Psychology from the University of Liverpool. She is also trained in Organization Culture and Change Management at the Maastricht School of Management.

Peris Kerori

Peris Kerori is an MSC finalist at the University of Manchester, United Kingdom, Faculty of Human Resource Management and Development. She also holds a degree from the University of Nairobi in Sociology & Communication and a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management.

Immediately after earning her degree she joined Safaricom Limited, a Vodafone Group affiliate where she played a key role in capacity building as part of the pioneer team that launched M-PESA - a ground-breaking Digital Financial Service. She has several years of experience in Organization Development and Project Management in the Financial Services Industry. Some of her successes in this area include; co-developing and executing talent management and organization development strategies for a financial institution with over 1000 staff that led to winning the Deloitte employer of choice awards in the year 2014 & 2015. She also developed competency based career paths and a leadership competency framework and provided oversight in the roll-out of the leadership development programs.

Peris has spent 3 years researching and testing best practice and best fit in talent management. She is a certified job analyst by CEB –SHL South Africa who led a cross-functional team to conduct job design, job analysis and job evaluation in a complex organization structure. She holds a certificate in ROI Methodology from Patti Phillips from United States of America. Peris is passionate about designing processes to enable people and organizations to function better. She has great strength in conceptual thinking and takes a keen interest in enabling people and organizations to reach their highest potential through customized, context based programmes.

Gladys Muriuki

Gladys Muriuki has over 4 years’ experience in the Service and Financial Services Industries. Her expertise ranges from Psychometric Testing, Psychological and Developmental Assessments, Curriculum Development, Client Management and Human Resources. She is highly driven, passionate and knowledgeable in diverse areas having combined a variety of unique skill sets to great effect. She possesses a background in Psychology which coupled with her keen understanding of human behavior has seen her grow very quickly in the Banking industry.

She has a BSC in Psychology and an MSC in Organizational Development from the United States International University - Africa. Gladys is also skilled in designing and implementing both coaching and mentoring programs which has transformed how managers and staff interact leading to increased productivity and engagement.

Gladys is passionate about service delivery and working with people, she is very solution oriented and customer centric in all she does.
